I was telling a friend how you can embed Youtube links into your own blog, so when you are writing in other venue's (bulletin boards, FB, twitter etc...) and you want to share something humorous, valuable, interesting or otherwise worth sharing, you can be linking people to your blog, so they may stay awhile & look around... this may also encourage others to post links for their friends to check it out so, it's one way that having a blog, & using social networking can help raise awareness of who you are & what you are doing.
